#Roku4 works only with mobile app, freezes remotes

Hi, My #Roku4+ is now working reliably only with the mobile app on my Pixel.  I can successfully pair each of two different enhanced remotes (power cable out, remote batteries out, pairing button pushed) following the directions on the Roku website.  Also, tried System Restart, and successfully paired.  However, after some time - 5 minutes, 10 minutes, ??? - the Roku stops responding to the remote.  It doesn't matter which one I use.  The #Roku4 does continue to respond to the Roku mobile remote app, however.   Each of the two remotes work without problem with my Roku3, so the issue is the Roku4.  We did have a SD card in the slot in the Roku4 for awhile, but started having significant problems with that.  I read online that others were having difficulties with SD card, and so took out the card.

Any suggestions as to further troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, Just wanted to nudge this back to the top for assistance.  Roku4 is continuing to have problems working with either of two remotes - requiring a re-pairing virtually every time I turn it on, and it most often freezes at some point while I'm watching.  No particular pattern as I recall.  Any help would be appreciated.  Hate to have to buy a new Roku just because this one is no longer working!

I just saw that providing Model and software version may help resolve issues.  For our #Roku4, the details are:

Model 4400X-Roku 4

The software version is 10.5.0 - build 4208-17

Thanks for the post.

Please be aware that the Roku 4 is an older device that is no longer under warranty. It's possible that the device or remote is simply on its way out.

Thanks, Danny.  I was hoping that there was some additional steps I might take, but I'll check out current products and use the mobile Roku app - which seems to be working fine - in the meantime.  FWIW, I've tried two remotes on the Roku4, and have the same issue, and both remotes work with one of my other Roku devices.    So I'm sure it's the 4.
