My Roku remote (about 6-7 months old) suddenly stopped working. The indicator light on the remote does not light up when I press the buttons. I have tried replacing the batteries with brand new batteries, but that has not fixed the issue. I can still use the Roku app on my phone to control the Roku device, but the physical remote does nothing.
Hello @JensGot3
Thanks for reaching out.
We would recommend starting with the troubleshooting steps provided in this Support link: How to resolve issues with your Roku® simple remote or Roku voice remote then let us know if there's any difference after.
Please keep us posted!
All the best,

I followed the troubleshooting guide as far as it seemed relevant. The problem isn't that the remote is not paired with the Roku device. The problem seems to be that the remote has no power. The little indicator light that is supposed to light up whenever a button is pressed does not light up. I've tried changing the batteries but the problem persisted.
I have 5 devices in 2 homes. In the past 48 hours 2 of the 5 basic remotes have quit working. The one I am trying to fix now is for a Roku SE. The remote is not a voice remote, there is no signal indicator light in my working remote, there is not remote pairing or rest button inside the battery compartment. I have replaced the batteries. I can control the device via another remote. The inop remote does not work on another device. I have followed the suggestions for resolving problems. 40% of remotes stopped working this week. Please contact me via email. Thank you.
Hi Danny. I am not the person who posted about the Roku remote not working but I have the same problem. I have 2 Rokus and they both quit at the same time. The serial number on one is 215ODO189929. Voice remotes. Please help.
Hi Danny,
The serial number on my device is X01600A3TE1T. The remote is completely dead. I would like a replacement.
Hi Danny. One serial is S01339DL26CH. Thought I’d sent a pic. The other is at my other house will be a week before I can get that serial.
Thanks for the post.
