Roku ultra remote stopped working

I've had this Roku ultra for approximately one year and the batteries are drained very quickly. Today the remote just stopped working all together. New batteries don't help, retest an old batteries doesn't help, rebooting the Roku doesn't help.  What can I do to get a new Roku remote at no charge. I spent $100 on this Roku ultra and the remote didn't last. Also we've had to pay way too much money for batteries with this particular model.  Why is there no support phone number.?  This has been a very irritating customer support experience. I'm a Roku fan and have been for years I purchased at least three or four of them but second guessing my purchase is now that I have an issue.

Re: Roku ultra remote stopped working

Have you tried to re-pair your remote to your Roku?  They have been known to come un-paired, especially after a Roku software update.

You may find your Roku is only receptive to the pairing request from the remote for a short period of time after it starts up. Try pulling the power to the Roku for a few seconds then plugging it back in and waiting for it to start up before reinserting the batteries in the remote and pressing the pairing button.

@gsanders7

Unfortunately the battery draining is a longstanding issue with the WiFi Direct remotes.

There is a Roku CS phone #:  (816) 272-8106

However, it only handles account/billing and first time setup/activation issues.

Otherwise, there is chat/email support:  https://support.roku.com/contactus

(choose setup/ultra/other/need more help?)
