Purchased roku ultra (2018 model) from Bestbuy about 10 months ago. Just had to replace the batteries for the first time a few days ago. Put in a brand new pair of batteries and drained them in a few days. Whenever I put in new batteries I get a very loud whining/high pitched noise coming from the remote. Who do I contact for a replacement remote since I am still under the 1 year warranty?
Thanks for the post.
Please send me a PM (private message) with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number/device ID on the Roku device along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny

Sorry for the late reply, I purchased more batteries and tried those and the sound seems to have disappeared for now. I will see if it comes back in the next couple of weeks and pm you.
Thanks
I am having the same issue with my remote for a tv I purchased 6 months ago. Replaced the batteries and tried re-pairing it with my tv but no luck.
Hi @Xanpulo,
Thanks for the post.
Could you please verify if you are using a Roku TV or a Roku device? For Roku TV, please contact your TV's manufacturer directly to report this issue and request additional support. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.

Hi, I also have the issue whereby my remote has started to make a high pitched whine. It stops when I take the batteries out so it is definitely the remote that is the issue.
I was going to send a PM to Danny, but his profile does not have a PM link, and I can’t get to Mary”s profile for some reason. Please advise how to fix this problem with my remote.
thanks,
iain

Hi Mary,
I have sent you a message with the serial number.
I replaced the batteries with new batteries and the issue persisted. I checked the system software was up to date. I powered down the Roku, disconnected it from the TV and then reconnected and powered on.
the remote was still making a high pitched noise.
Regards,
Iain
