Roku remove vs mobile app

My Roku premier is in a different room than the TV (different floor of the house as well). 

The mobile app will control the Roku device from the TV room, but the remote will not work at that distance.  Do they make a remote that will on WiFi (similar to the app) so I do not have to use my phone to watch TV?

The voice remotes use Wi-Fi direct, so they don't need line of sight, but they will be limited by distance.
