We would recommend starting with the troubleshooting steps available in this Support article: How to resolve issues with your Roku® simple remote or Roku voice remote

If the issue persists after attempting the suggestion above, try installing a free extension cable. Your Roku Streaming Stick can be connected directly to an HDMI port on your TV – therefore, wireless interference from the HDMI connector may impact the performance of your remote.
