Needed a new remote because my wifi was upgraded and I needed to enter new network info. I'd been using the app to control roku. I bought a simple remote and a voice remote with pairing button for my Roku Express. The voice remote will control the TV POWER. Roku screen is stuck on Language setup screen. I've power cycled. Held pairing for 20 seconds to reset,  I've disconnected TV and put batteries back in the remote. Nothing has worked

Does the simple remote work?  Can you use it to navigate to Settings->Remotes & devices->Set up a new device?

No. The simple remote doesn't work either

The simple remote is a direct line-of-sight infrared remote that doesn't need to be paired to the Roku (in fact CAN'T be paired) and should work right out of the box with any Roku device except Streaming Stick models.  Be sure the front face if your Express faces your viewing area, and there is nothing blocking the direct line-of-sight between the remote snd the Exptess.

Yep. It doesn't work either. I've power cycled it. And it won't even turn the TV on

The simple remote will NOT turn on the TV or control the TV volume.  If the TV is on can you use the simple remote with the Roku express?  Be sure you have a direct line of sight with the Roku express and start close to the Roku express.

Yep. I've tried that too. I'm literally standing in front of it lol

Let me ask you this, does the simple remote have TV control keys? If it does then it's a Roku tv IR remote and so is useless on Roku like the express.

Well it has a volume button. But no other TV buttons. But the Voice remote will only work the TV POWER on and off. The screen is stuck on the Language screen with the Voice remote

The only non-tv Roku IR remote with volume keys was the Onn Smart Roku soundbar remote, it would control the express. And control the tv volume of tv models with cec feature. If it doesn't have Onn-Roku written on it it plainly will NOT control your express.
