Roku remote not pairing and the roku isn't connected to internet or remote

My roku stick was unplugged and when replugged back in it sayed "not connected" I did a hard reset on it and now is stuck in pairing screen and the remote won't connect at all

Ensure you have good batteries in the remote. Try fresh batteries.

take the batterys out and get new ones.

unpower/unplug the Roku from everything for a few minutes and try again.
