I have an Onn TV that came with the Roku remote. The remote has been working for the last few years, but stopped working recently. The remote no longer turns on the TV or selects any options on the TV. I have tried new batteries. I have tried a brand new Roku remote.

Thank you for reporting the issues you've experienced with the remote of your ONN Roku TV. I'd be happy to suggest further troubleshooting steps to help you.
In addition to what our Roku Streaming Expert provided above, kindly try to reset your remote by pressing and holding the Back and Home buttons simultaneously for about 20 seconds. After doing so, pair it again to see if this will help you utilize your Roku remote again.
Furthermore, if you can see blinking lights when you press random buttons on your remote, it may be that it's not effectively paired to your TV. Kindly ensure that you've paired this successfully.

First, make sure the batteries are installed correctly. Some Roku remotes have them both the same orientation, while others have one battery flipped from the other.
A Roku TV uses a different remote than a Roku player, so if the second remote you tried is for a player that would explain it not working.
If the remote you're using is a simple IR remote, make sure nothing is blocking the IR receiver window on the TV. I can't say where it is exactly on your TV, but it will be somewhere along the bottom of the screen. IR requires a clear line of sight for the signal between the remote and the TV. Most Roku TVs also support a WiFi Direct remote (such as the Voice Remote) and those don't need a clear line to the TV.
