Roku replaced my device.  No problems with the new device - so far.

No changes to my functionality.

I'm still able to control my sound bar and tv. My sound bar handles all HDMI inputs and then sends to arc port on TV. The Volume, power, and mute is all I use. 

I'm certain it's just the remote and Roku having a hard time. 

For everyone else that's having this problem they should try unpairing the remote use the app to help reconnect remote. Keep remote within 10 to 12 feet line of sight from the device. But not right on too if it. 

Roku needs to do better.

Again, I'm not sure if this will work for everyone but it has worked for me.

Hi,

I'm experiencing the same issue as others on this thread.  I get the on screen message about remote finder and an audible beeping from the remote.  It happens spontaneously with no input from me.  

I have taken the batteries out of the remote and am using the remote app on my iPhone to control the unit.  This eliminates the beeping but I still get the on screen message about "hitting any button" which I can't clear without putting the batteries back in the remote.

The unit worked fine until about two weeks ago.  Disconnecting from power for while seems to fix it temporarily, then the find remote function starts up again.

Very annoying!

Roku replaced my unit as I had tried every fix without success.  My new Ultra works great.

How do you unpair the remote?

Remove the battery cover there is a small button towards the back of the remote hold it for 5 seconds. 

With this many people having the same problem the engineering team should push an update to rectify the issue soon.

This worked for me but I'm not always home to know if it's going off.

I wonder if there was some sort of update a couple of weeks ago because mine didn't do it for months and now it started again, with no changes on my part.

I would have to agree with you on that. 

My fix did not last very long still the same issue.

My Roku ultra is doing same thing, it suddenly turns in and the remote starts to beep.  This is very annoying!  Is there a fox to this?
