Remotes

Currently I want to Switch over to Roku and Cut the Cable from Xfinity, I bought a Roku Ultra last night to test it out to see how well I liked it and i do enjoy it but I don't like having to scroll through the TV guide to get to other channels. I know they make the one option to search but its more key presses then there should be just to get to a channel. 

Ive done research on remotes but so far every article that Ive read states that the remote works for the basic stuff but the numbers dont work to switch between channels on the Live Channels On the Roku. Granted most of the Articles are from 2020 so i was thinking there may be an update regarding this? 

Does anyone have any solutions as to if there is a way to get a Universal remotes number pad to work with the Roku, and if there is which remotes will work?

For awhile if you had an aftermarket universal remote with channel numbers and pressed the keys blue digits would appear but the roku never changed to the channel. Until recently that is, now it does go to the channel on the live tv tile. With antenna it will switch to main channels no sub-channels. I doubt this will work within apps xfinity, spectrum, or pluto. 

Remote I use are the Inteset 422-3 and One-For-All urc-7880. Code for the Inteset is 14398, and the OFA is 4398.

Those codes work with TCL Roku tv's and many other Roku tv brands. But stand alone work's like the Ultra, the code for that 03061 or 3061. But there aren't any number keys preset under ANY roku only device code, sorry.

The one thing I can't recall trying is the keyboard function on the Roku app on my phone. I don't think it worked, but now I simply can't recall. And in addition to that, the channel in use on the Roku would have to recognize the number press. Since no Roku remote includes numbers, it's entirely possible they didn't program the channel to recognize a number button press on the app. 

Nope, just tried the app on my Premiere, attempting to change the channel number in use in Pluto TV. No response from the channel.

I'm following this as well.  The lack of numbers has been pain since we had our ROKU.  Also, as of late, when we scroll through, we get almost all the way to the HD channel we want to watch only to have it bounce all the way back to the beginning and then we have to scroll all the way back. Annoying!
