Roku Streaming Stick+ 4K remote gets stuck

Remote for Roku Streaming Stick+ | HD/4K/HDR Streaming Device repeatedly does not respond beyond turning the TV on/off.  This is happening every 3 to 4 days! Removing/replacing from the HDMI port will fix,  but this is not exactly convienient, and is apparently a design flaw, since it is reported multiple times in this forum. Also, the fact that the stick is over heating cannot be “by design”.  Is ROKU going to replace these defective devices?

Have you tried re-pairing your remote to your Roku device to see if that helps the issue you re experiencing? For more information, visit our Support page here: Fix your remote

If you are still unable to resolve the issue, have you tried connecting a HDMI extender to your Roku streaming stick as this will help in the issue of your device overheating as well? You can order a free HDMI extender here: https://my.roku.com/hdmi
