The fact that Roku does not provide a remote with number buttons is absolutely ridiculous! Roku needs to create this kind of remote or everyone is going to label Roku as being complete garbage and not worth purchasing their streaming devices. I will be sharing this information with everyone I know so they do not waste their money on garbage. Roku could make this kind of remote and everyone would be willing to pay top dollar for having this convenience. Right now, it is a major inconvenience! I have Spectrum cable TV and Roku is the streaming device that supports the Spectrum TV app. Scrolling through a huge list of channels instead of just being able to press the channel number I know I want to go to makes me hate Roku. Please, please, please listen to your customers and create this remote. Fix your reputation and take advantage of this money making opportunity! I feel especially bad for all the people who purchased a Roku TV with a thousand channels. That scenario is even more ridiculous! Shame on you Roku!

Well, hopefully you've learned that it takes far less time to google up a picture of a remote, than to buy it, get mad about it, and post a message about it on a forum. I'll save you some time on the next purchase by googling pictures of the remotes for Apple TV, Fire TV, and the Onn android streaming box and telling you that they don't have channel number buttons either.
A lot of these streaming companies seem to think that numeric linear channels are a thing of the past, but if you disagree, shop carefully.
Personally, I like my Roku remote (for streaming), but I use my Dish Remote when I access my numerically-oriented Dish system. (Although I must admit that I rarely use numbers even there since everything I watch has been recorded by my DVR.)
Although I have gotten use to not having a remote with numbers, I do wish that Roku and others as well as the cable/sat companies who have apps would at least make a virtual number remote so that you can change channels by number as opposed to scrolling through pages. But as Strega said, all brands do that. Most likely because it saves money by making a remote with less buttons.
