My roku remote for streaming stick abruptly stopped working sometime back.

I was navigating between channels and it froze.

After sometime I saw a firmware update on screen and after that I tried again but the remote still doesnt work.

I also replaced the remote with new batteries, restarted the stick and rebooted the system too.

Please assist

Have you tried using the Roku app on an Android or iOS mobile device?  If connected to the same local network as the Roku it should be able to find and control your Roku, as long as the Roku is still connecting to the net.

If you can provide your Streaming Stick model and model number we can recommend the correct replacement remote.

Yes for now I am using the app thru my android phone.

Get your model # and firmware version from:  Settings/System/About
