Roku HD streaming equipment

We do not have HD or HDR TV's. If we buy Roku HD streaming sticks or Roku HD equipment will that give us HD, high definition picture with TV''s that are not HD.

You will be viewing HD content, but it won't be HD quality. There's no way to make a standard def display look better than it's native resolution.
