Roku Express remote button down arrow does not work

I have a Roku Express remote in which all the buttons work except the purple down arrow from the four arrows.

How do I fix this?

  1. If you have compressed air, try blowing it out.
  2. If you're capable, take the remote apart and clean it.
  3. If it's less than a year old try getting a warranty replacement.
  4. Buy a new remote.
  5. Use the Roku app on your phone/tablet as a remote.
