So today my remote would not work with my Roku device, only with the TV. I checked online on the issue and reset my controller, thinking that would solve it. It didn't. Then I did a hard reset on my Roku Streaming Stick+ (3810X) and hit the reset button on my controller. Now, I am stuck in the "Pair your remote" screen when my Roku turns on and I can't do anything about it. Nothing works.
I disconnected my Roku and TV entirely and removed the batteries from my remote, still nothing. Waited several minutes to reconnect as well.
Please help, it would be a bummer if I had to get another device or controller.
I am having the same issue with my 3810X stick.
I replaced the batteries, tried unplugging everything...and then resorted to the factory reset.
Now I am stuck on the pairing screen, and the stick will no longer recognize the remote.
Additionally, I am unable to find the stick using the android app (yes...I downloaded the official app).
Do I need to buy a new remote? We have had the roku for less than a year. Roku Streaming Stick + (3810, 3811 series)
Once you factory reset a Roku it's no longer connected to any network and the app only works with a Roku that's connected to a network. When you press and hold the pairing button on the remote does the pairing light start flashing? Don't assume that batteries that seem to be good really are. I've had it happen more than once that batteries that work fine once the remote is paired won't work to get it paired in the first place.
The pairing light on the remote does flash (I had already put in new batteries - and tested them on a battery tester).
I followed the directions as listed in the pairing directions, but no luck.
