Remote won't back out of new features screen

When I turned on Roku, a new features screen came up, and Roku won't back out of it. It is impossible to  see or connect to my streaming channels. Having to use my phone as remote. Help!

Unplug the power cord for bit, then plug it back in let it reboot.

You said "remote is stuck on new features launch page" and I want to make sure I understand what you mean. Since you said you don't have a remote, are you saying that your Roku app that is functioning as a remote has something other than the remote controls showing? Or did you mistype, meaning to say the Roku is stuck on the new features page?

If the latter, then your app, if it's connected to the same network as your Roku device, should control the device.

Pursuing that, with the app open, at the bottom, there should be a "Devices" icon. Touch it. Does it say you are connected to the Roku device you're trying to control?

I am having the same problem. The OS 10.5 screen comes up (promising new features!), and there is not a button on my remote that will move it. I hear a beep, and the light on my Roku 3 blinks when I press a button, but the 10.5 screen doesn't budge. I have tried different approaches to start. I have reset the Roku and the router. Alternate remotes on my tablet and my phone (both say they are connected to the Roku 3) do not work either, so my Roku is totally inop.

Helli, I unplugged the roku for about 30 seconds and it is fixed!

I had tried unplugging for 1 minute earlier, and it didn't work. Then I left it unplugged for about 10 minutes, and I have a homescreen again!

I still cannot get mine to work!  I unplugged it for 30 seconds and nothing.  So I unplugged it again for about an hour.  Plugged in back in and it still will not clear from the new features screen.  This is frustrating!
