I'm having a problem with my remote turning on my fairy lights (led string lights). Is there some way to stop it besides unplugging the lights?

Remote is doing great turning the TV on/off, changing channels and selecting apps. It's just doing an extra service by turning on my led string lights when you power up the TV. Doesn't turn the lights off though. I'm having to unplug the lights so they don't come on. The link above was no help.

Odds are the fairy lights are using an RF remote with codes that are very close or the same as used by Roku. Not unusual for what are probably cheap lights that just steal whatever code they can find.
