I have an Insignia TV which has been previously paired with a Roku voice remote for a Roku ultra box.
One day after turning on the t.v with the Roku remote it suddenly stopped working the t.v controls. The original t.v remote still works on the t.v for on/off and volume but the Roku voice remote will no longer pair for t.v control ? Anyone know what the issue might be. I've done all the resetting and updating that I could think of ??TIA
Just reprogram your tv back in:
settings> remote & devices> remote> remote in USE> program tv> follow prompts
Of course I tried to reprogram it, ( sorry should've made that more clear in the post) none of the codes work for the t.v.
If it's an old model of Insignia, try Mitsubishi or Philips?
Sometimes I've had success in re-setting up a remote that has been previously programmed by setting it up as a new device:
Settings > Remotes & devices > (*) Add devices > Remotes > [check] Remote > Continue
My simple remote just stopped working. Replaced batteries …. Nothing! When I look into remote end there’s no blinking light so I purchased a new remote from Amazon. It has a blinking light but still does not work.
unplugged Roku but still the new remote doesn’t work.
What now????
Nothing has helped. Tried resetting remote.. nothing…
I should state that Roku does work with my phone or tablet as a remote. Just Roku remotes don’t work
Tried that. I can use my phone or tablet as remote but just not old or brand new Roku remotes. Frustrating!

What specific remote did you buy? Can you post the Amazon link?
If you bought a Roku Voice Remote, it must be paired to the Roku. Pairing instructions should have come with it.
If you bought a remote for a Roku TV (i.e. a set with Roku capability built in) it uses a completely different set of infrared command codes than your Express does.
