Remote set not to control TV but still does

Set up my Roku Ultra model 4802R with the supplied voice control remote RC795, and during setup, I picked the option NOT to control my TV.  However, when the power button on the Roku is pressed, it controls the power to both TV and Roku.  Checked remote in settings, and it is listed not to control TV.  How can this be fixed, it's annoying!  Thanks.

The only way to "fix" it is to go through the setup to control your TV and pick a TV brand different than your TV's.  Pressing a TV control button will still do something, but it shouldn't affect the TV.  If it does, try another brand.

P.S. - Roku devices don't turn off.  The power button on the remote only affects the TV.
