Remote powering on TV

Roku ulta remote controls TV volume and power off but will not power ON the TV. Have tried multiple times to re-pair, and set up the remote using different codes. Nothing has worked to this point.

Most likely have to go to the Toshiba MENU settings using your Toshiba remote or buttons on TV itself.

You need to set the HDMI CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) to ON.  Just makes various electronic peripherals work together....wake up...etc.

Depending on model of Toshiba, look for this or something similar...

MENU.....SETTINGS......HDMI CEC SETTINGS......ON (most likely set to off by default)

 

You should now be able to turn on Ultra using either POWER button or HOME button.  Can turn off TV off using only the POWER button.
