My remote did this last weekend and doesn't work anymore. What do I need to do?

If the issue persists, reply here with the serial number of the Roku device associated with the affected remote. It can be located at the back or underneath the player itself.

I went thru the troubleshooting for the remote and frankly, there is no status light at all when holding down the paring button as requested.
The serial number is: 21306D862620
