Remote gone tv not connected to internet

I have a onn. Roku smart tv and today I came home to my remote distorted by my dog. At the same time my tv was kicked off of wifi and I cannot reconnect it without a remote so the app option is out. If I buy a new remote is there a way to connect it to the tv?

Yes. The Roku Simple Remote ($15), an IR device, will not work on a Roku TV. Third party Universal remotes won't either, unless it specifically says Roku TV on the packaging.

But the Roku Voice Remote ($20) will. Walmart carries them, as do Target, Best Buy, and other retailers. You can walk in and pick one up. Or you can also buy them online from Roku, Amazon, and other places.

Walmarts also have the one-for-all urc-7935 streamer universal remote works great with Roku tv's. P1010420 (800x600).jpg

Here it is next to roku voice remote. Usually its priced at $16.88.

Use TCL directions in section D for your Onn roku tv.
