Omg this is my 3rd roku and it drains the batteries fast, every week I have to change them, surely this isn’t normal. 

And why does it change volume with any button you press.

Battery life will vary based on usage. For normal use, the remote batteries may last two months or longer. Does your Roku remote support private listening? This may also be one factor for the battery drain.

Please reply here with the serial number of the Roku device associated with the affected remote. It can be viewed by navigating to Settings > System > About.

My remote Model RC 116 for my Roku Premiere+ drains batteries weekly. It is only used about 2 hours a night, so no reason for it to use so many batteries. I didn't realize that so many people using Roku were having same problem till I finally decided to search on internet for Roku remote problems.

Hope Roku can replace these remotes.

my Roku steaming stick 3810x also drains the battery. It only seems to last a few weeks.  Serial number is yhoocx351313
