My remote for Roku Streaming Stick+ dies every single week. Don;t use it for gaming or headphones. Only use it coupoe times a week to watch TV and every week I have to change the batteries. Is there a fix for this? If not I will return it. Thank you.

Please perform a system restart from your Roku device. This will update your remote to the latest version. This can be done by navigating to Settings > System > System Restart. After you perform the system update, continue to use your device as normal and monitor the remote battery percentage listed under Settings > Remotes > About. Additionally, if you had moved your Roku device power source to a wall outlet to help address this problem, you may now reconnect the USB cable to your TV's USB port if preferred.
Please let us know if you notice any improvements in battery life or if the issue is persisting.
I performed the upgrade as covered and I still have an issue of the remote draining the batteries. It used to happen in a week and now it's out to two weeks.

Mine does it EVERY DAY. Sometimes I can pop the batteries in and out and get it to work again, though several times I have had to re-pair it. I have tried every "Troubleshooting" trick on here and none have a permanent solution. Very annoying and an obviously defective design by Roku who by the looks of all the posts on this issue doesn't want to own up to selling cheap equipment. Customers should not have to deal with this.

It seems like you and @RokuDanny-R have both been responding to these battery issues but neither of you have yet responded as to why many of us who sent you pm's about our remote and have done the update are still having issues. How are we supposed to try other steps to remedy the situation when roku has taken away the ability for us to communicate thru pm's and you both just keep asking for people to pm you?
