My voice remote pro (old model) with the headphone jack keeps jumping around while charging goes from 3% to 60% to 40% etc. I have to wiggle the cable to the "right" position to get it to charge (in fact I have two remotes that do it, the same one is much older so figured the battery might just be old but the newer one I've bought within the last year. I've tried restarting the remote, the TV, changing cables etc. Still the same behavior,

Yes I know I can play through phone etc but the lag drives me crazy. Even tried the newest bt headset with supposed less lag. Ugh. Plus I'm not wasting a 800 dollar phone without a replaceable battery all day watching tv,

Any advice? Plus are they ever going to get a new one with head jack and type c charge? It about the only device I have left with the micro USB.

They have eliminated the headphone jack from the newest remotes, most likely because of the severe battery drain when in use. It's even worse when people leave the headphones plugged in and the models with AA batteries would be drained in just a couple of days.

The latest Voice Remote Pro does have a USB-C connector. I'm charging mine right now so I know it's a USB-C.

Thanks yea, I saw the new one with type C but no jack.  I really need the jack at least until I buy new TV sigh.

When it asks for a serial number, it wants the serial number of the Roku device that the remote controls, not the serial number of the remote itself.
