For all the Roku customers who have received no help from Roku regarding remotes not working and unable to pair - here is the SOLUTION!!!! Download the Roku App on your phone - it is free. Then you can connect to your Roku devises and there is a remote on the App. Thanks to my grandson and his girlfriend, I got the solution. Sorry about this Roku but NO THANKS TO YOU AND YOUR SUPPORT PEOPLE WHO DON'T SEEM TO WANT TO SOLVE CUSTOMER ISSUES!!!. So, my advice to all of you is to go to the younger folks in your family for help. I don't have to use the remote that came with the stick any longer.
The Roku app is a partial solution at best. It will STOP working if:
You do a Factory reset of your Roku, which cancels all settings including your net connection.
Do a network connection reset on your Roku, which removes your net connection.
Your Roku loses its net connection for some reason and you need to reconnect to the net.
In any of these cases you cannot use the Roku app on a phone to set up a new net connection for the Roku because the app can only talk to a Roku that is ALREADY connected to your network.
