I purchased a Roku Streaming Stick+ over a year ago and it worked great for about the whole first year. The batteries in the remote lasted me almost that full first year. Then a couple of months ago things changed. The batteries in the remote started to die quickly and I needed to change them every couple of weeks. I have changed the batteries 4 times in about 2 months after originally getting almost a whole year our of one set. It is frustrating to say the least.
Is there a reason this would start to happen?
Is there anything I can do to remedy this issue?

My batteries in my remote need to be changed every 2 weeks is this normal of is something wrong with the remote.
We got a Roku 2 months ago and it needs new batteries once or twice a week. I hate this thing and intend to return it to Amazon. I've researched it now and it's a common problem Roku has known about for well over a year.
Hi everyone,
Thanks for the posts.
Please send me a PM (private message) with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number of the Roku device from Settings>System>About along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny
Hi and I hope I'm sending this to the right person, On Dec 30th 2020 I purchased the Roku Streaming Stick+ from Walmart. It is used in our bedroom so we only use it once or twice a week. Every time we use it we have to put in new batteries this been from day 1, It just eats batteries up. My Roko account is [personal information removed]. My Device ID is 225089265031 The remote Model # RC-EL1 and SKU # 3226000679. I so not see a serial number on the remote. The SKU # on the box is 3810RW and the Lot# is 2141021103
Anything you can do would be helpful
Thank you
