Well, THAT was singularly UNHELPFUL. The responder requested information that was already provided, yet obviously didn't recognize it as such. Roku seems unwilling or unable to take responsibility for their defective equipment.
As for the issues: I've had the exact same issues with our rechargeable, voice-enabled remote. Although we've NEVER used the voice option, we have experienced the following issues: won't hold a charge and fails to engage with the Roku device; re-pairing results in extremely short-term, if any, connectivity; something's come loose INSIDE the remote and you can hear it clattering around; and, while plugged in for charging, the status shows charging at X%, then flips to 100%, then drops to X-Y%. Everything seems to center around 'changing the batteries', which is great if you have a NON-rechargeable remote, but rechargeable remotes have no way to access the interior. I agree with the other user who suggested replacing the defective remotes for a minimal charge (to cover shipping). That's the VERY LEAST that Roku can do, and never let it be said that Roku didn't do the very least they could do for their customers.

I am having the same issue as many others. The remote has worked flawlessly until recently when it stopped taking a charge. When it is plugged in the green light slowly pulses and it is recognized as “charging” on the display, but it does not charge.

yes, I have tried multiple cords and USB plugs. As well as plugging directly into the Roku itself. Nothing works. Says it’s charging for a couple of seconds and then never takes a charge.
