I bought the new rechargeable remote earlier this year. Now it doesn't hold a charge for very long. Plus when charging it displays 3% then jumps up, down, up, etc. Kind of random. Also while charging with the headphones in it'll like disconnect and blast sound into the room like the headphones aren't plugged in (now I lower the sound way down for unplugged in levels). (Scared the heck out of me the first time 😆). I tried to initiate a return and it wants the serial no. But it doesn't have one and the TV one it said not eligible but the TV wouldn't be as it's a couple of years old (TV is a 7105X, mod 55S405, s/w 10.5.0, build 4201-30). I'd try to change the battery to see if that would work but it doesn't appear replaceable sigh.
But I love the remote otherwise!

I have a similar issue. After 6 months and 4 charge ups it won't charge anymore.
