Re: 11.5 4216 cec issues. Lost volume control to my Denon receiver

Thank you much for your input. I am glad to hear that it is not just me.  I hope this is fixed very soon as it is super annoying to have another remote on my lap just for the volume control. Thanks again!!

@claripiper

But, did you refresh the cec devices in your TV settings?

Re: 11.5 4216 cec issues. Lost volume control to my Denon receiver

Hi Community users,

We would be more than happy to look into the issue, but will need more detailed information. Can you please provide us the following information:
-Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About)
-brand and model AVR you are using
-steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing

Once we have more detailed information, we will be able to investigate further.

Thanks,
Danny

Refresh CEC?  You mean this:

  1. Disconnect all HDMI devices from your TV and the audio system.
  2. Perform a power reset or restart of the TV.
  3. Connect the HDMI cable from HDMI output on your audio system to the HDMI input on your TV.
  4. Make sure the HDMI Control settings on the audio system is set to On.

Re: 11.5 4216 cec issues. Lost volume control to my Denon receiver

here is my info:

Roku device model—4800X

serial number—X01000MWMHS1

device ID—S02A208WMHS1

software OS/version—11.5 build 4216-C2

brand and model AVR-Denon AVR-X6700H

steps to reproduce the issue you are seeing—It just stopped working after the update. I have several Rokus in the house so I tried another one that has not had the update installed yet and it works just fine with my Denon. (Got this idea from another user reply on this thread)

No, have the tv search the components connected to it for cec devices, modern tv's have this in the tv menu.

I have the LG G1 OLed and I do not see anywhere in the menu where it gives me the option to research or reset cec devices.

Re: Controlling Audio Level with Roku Remote with Denon Av Receiver and Projector

So I have a update talk about crazy I can't use buttons but if I use voice control on the roku remote mute, volume up and down work to control my dennon receiver. I could not find secret menu item that would work for me yet.

Re: Controlling Audio Level with Roku Remote with Denon Av Receiver and Projector

I just tried voice commands on my remote after reading your post. Voice commands work for me as well. Lol. Still no button function for volume and mute. That is crazy! Is there a way to roll back the update?
