No Brand Listed For TV Control

I’m trying to connect my Haier TV to the Roku remote for TV control. When I go to settings and try to find my TV there are no brands listed. It immediately says it is not supported. I have tried finding brands like Samsung or LG but there all appear to be “not supported.” What can I do to at least get a list of brands to show up?

@raulrodriguez37, if no brands are displayed when searching try connecting to an alternate network like your phone's hotspot.  If your network uses any kind of ad-blocker or something similar that could be the problem.

@renojim thanks for your suggestions. Unfortunately the error persists. After doing a factory reset, I have tried 4 different networks, and even through VPN and the error is the same.

Re: No Brand Listed For TV Control

Obviously the problem is in the software, when consulting the database for the brands the connection is not achieved and therefore it does not yield results ... the solution is in an update that corrects that connection problem

@raulrodriguez37, are you in the US?  When it comes to Roku if you're not in the US all bets are off as to whether any feature works or not.
