I need help

New remote does nothing

I open new remote and took tag off.. does nothing to my tv Roku.

i change batteries even!

What remote did you get and what Roku device do you have?  Is it an actual TV?  Simple remotes for Roku players don't work with Roku TVs.  If you have a Roku TV, you need the remote that's specifically for TVs or a voice remote and the voice remotes only work once they're paired with the TV?

Just a reminder: There are certain Roku remotes that need to be paired before they start working. Do you notice any pairing button or voice button on your remote? If you have the model number handy, that would be super helpful too. Here's a link to learn how to identify Roku remotes!
