New Roku voice remote pro setup

I lost the original remote for my Roku TV, so I bought a Roku Voice Remote Pro.  The box talks about pairing with the original remote, but how do I set it up to control my TV without the original remote?  I saw something online that mentions connecting to the TV via HDMI but how do I do that with the charging USB cable included with the remote?

Re: New Roku voice remote pro setup

If you don't have the original remote you may be able to use the Roku app on a phone/tablet to act as a remote and then go through Settings->Remotes & devices->Set up a new device.  In addition, you should be able to get the remote to pair by pressing and holding the pairing button in the battery compartment until the green light starts flashing.  If the TV doesn't start the pairing process, unplug the power from the TV for a few seconds and plug it back in.  When it restarts it should recognize the remote and start the pairing process.

The Voice Pro doesn't have a battery comparment, the rechargeable batteries are built-in with no access, pairing button is just on the back of the remote.

@Tivoburkee, oops!  Missed the part about it being a "Pro".
