I bought a voice remote 10 months ago, and it suddenly died completely. I replaced the batteries and did all the troubleshooting steps, but there is no response between the remote and the Express HD device. The smartphone trick indicates no IR signal, and the original basic remote works fine. I want to replace the remote under warranty, but there is no serial number anywhere. What do I do? Where can I find a serial number?
The voice remote uses Wi-Fi Direct, so the phone trick won't work. There should be a button in the battery compartment. Have you pressed it for 3+ seconds to see if the light on the remote starts flashing?
I did this. No lights, no response, but other remotes work. The thing is dead as a doornail. It should be under warranty, but how do I get a replacement without a serial number? I am getting frustrated.

Thanks for the information.
Please send me a PM (private message) with your Roku account email address, and include the serial number/device ID on the Roku device along with a summary of the issue you are experiencing. I'll be able to assist you further from there.
Thanks,
Danny
