I have the same issue. Remote will not operate unless plugged in. The aerial # is YH00FX477457. I have tried the resets to no avail.

Hi @Billygator,
Welcome, and thank you for posting here at the Roku Community!
Thanks for reaching us here regarding your remote issues. We'd be more than happy to assist you with this.
Just to confirm, are you referring to the rechargeable remote? If so, we suggest you try to recharge it for 3 hours without using it.
In the meantime, you can install Roku mobile app as an alternative to a physical remote. It works well with all of Roku's streaming devices/TVs and functions just like your physical remote.
Let us know if the issue is still persistent after you've recharged it for 3 hours and we'd be more than willing to continue assisting you with this.
Warm regards,
Carly
I had a similar issue with the RC538 with firmware rtn.4246. I opened the remote with a guitar pick tool and re seated the connection plug from the built in battery. This solved the issue, I know it worked as it ought to when first used. I probably dropped it off a table to the floor more than once, perhaps. Logic here to me is the plug got loose when it was dropped, and nudging it back repaired the function.
