My new voice remote pro won’t pair with my 3710x with up- to date software

I’ve tried everything but the remote can’t be found .  I bought the remote mainly for private listening & don’t need voice control. Help!!

Sorry, but the 3700 express and 3710 express+ can only be controlled by an IR remote. Give up. 😞
