Mute button on side of remote is annoying

Why hasn’t Roku fixed the side mute button on the remote?  I will not be purchasing any until this is removed. I am frustrated as Roku is totally ignoring this issue!

I like their most basic models where the remote doesn't have any TV controls at all but that's just me.  If I ever bought one with TV controls and didn't like them, then I suppose I would just program the remote for a TV I don't own and make them inert.  There are some universal remotes that will drive a Roku as well.  (Except stick models which don't have IR receivers.)  Just some ideas…

Yes if your roku accepts IR there's the One-For-All urc-7935 streamer universal remote:
