I have two TVs, an RCA and a Sanyo. Each two has a Roku player, an express and an ultra. I decided to switch the Roku devices with one another and now I can’t get the remotes to locate the tv brands. They worked just fine before but now they won’t work. Any ideas? I’ve tried resetting both units and remotes but nothing seems to work. I decided to switch units to TVs because the ultra has the locate remote setting and it’s would be more useful in the living room where my children tend to lose the remotes often. TIA!
To change tv's just go into the settings> remote & device> remote> remote in USE> program tv> follow prompts
I’ve done this but it says the tv brand isn’t found.
That's problem many are having with roku software, I would keep factory resetting the roku until you get to the tv settings and they do list tv brands. None of my Roku have come across that error. And I have reset all my roku recently and turn on new roku models and haven't come across not have tv brands show up. Others have reset theirs and it fixed it where some it did not, so that's why I say do it until you get positive result.
Thanks for the post.
Some customers have reported that they connected their Roku device to an alternate wireless network, then tried pairing their remote to their TV and was able to get a list of brands show up. Have you tried that to see if that works for you?
Please keep us posted what you find out.
Thanks,
Danny
