I have a roku express that was given to me, brand new. Whatever the last button pressed on the remote was, that action will randomly occur. If the last button pressed was play, the show will sometimes pause. If the last button press was back, the show will sometimes randomly go back. If the last button pressed was the up arrow, well you get the idea. This does not just happen while watching a show. The back button will sometimes take me back to the roku menu screen. It also occurs in all apps I have tried.
To test the remote, I started a show then pulled the batteries. There was no change. There were still random button events and it is always whatever the last button press I pushed on my remote. No other rokus in my house.
Next I tried loading the app on my tablet and watched on the roku for several days using only the app remote on my tablet. No issues on the roku with the last button press.
I tried resetting my roku, but did not appear to make a difference. Anyone have a solution?
