Why do I have to press the volume control at least once or sometimes multiple times on my Roku Select Series 4K TV IR remote before another press begins to change the volume?
And sometimes I have to "get angry" and "mash the volume buttons" either repeatedly and or with careful cadence to get the volume to change. Even after "waking up" the volume control and when it gets into "the zone" and volume wheel appears in the top right corner of the screen its still just not a smooth or doesn't have worry free operation usually.
No other button controls on the remote have this lag, i.e. the mute button right below the volume bar and all the buttons on the top of remote work quickly and fine. I have a clean remote with great line of sight and have tried new batteries. It has been like this since I have had the new TV and remote for a couple months.
Is this just the "design", to keep you from accidently bumping the buttons and unintentionally changing the volume? Or is there something I can do to improve this lag and make the volume control smoother in general?
Urgh I am normally a calm guy, but the volume button on this remote makes Hulk Smash!
FYI: Model 65R4AX, Hardware G848X, Software version 14.1

appreciate your holler back ::Dr Banner breathes::
It seems to be a Roku TV simple remote that came with my Roku Select Series 65" Smart 4K TV, with the sleep-timer volume mute & power buttons.
I purchased this "display w/ remote package" new at Target on 01/27/25 - In general, the manufacturing and features-capabilities of this Roku branded TV is great especially in its cost value compared to others models with similar category specs.
btw: the mobile app volume buttons works ok, I just sometimes like using a physical controller
Probably just wondering about work-arounds or options. Or even perhaps I am just building my own simple handheld remote in my dreams and talking about it in a cool electronic forum.
