So I lost my Roku remote and now I can't use Roku. I also can't use the app as a remote at all because I never set it up and now the remote is lost. I have no clue how I can use my Roku now. I want to buy a replacement but I noticed it is not available. So what do I do. By the way, this is the Roku in my room I have others but my children are always hogging them. Please help.
They don't make replacement remotes for your model of roku anymore. And if they did it would cost more then the 3500 stick is worth. See if you have any deals for you on your upgrade page:
Whats on that page is different for each who look at it. It depends on the models of roku on your account. I suggest getting a roku that accepts IR remotes, so cheap universal remote could be used if you lost your original roku remote again. Like the roku express.
Roku app on Android should work.
Otherwise look on eBay etc. for secondhand remote of right type.
You may find any of the wireless remotes will work, but may need to use app on phone to help trigger a pairing.
Yes, but I can't use the app. I looked on eBay for remotes and couldn't find any. Thank you for the help. Anyone else can reply if they have another solution. Thank you!
I'd say your best bet is just to replace the 3500 with something more up to date. I recently visited a friend who was using a 3500. I was appalled at how slow it was (remote response, time to load channels, etc.). When I returned home I sent him an old Roku 3, model 4200, I had retired but still had in a drawer and he found it to be a major improvement. Today's models would be even better.
Roku 3 remotes on eBay will work your 3500 once paired. The headphone jack on the Roku 3 remote won't work, but if your tv has Hdmi-cec, then the volume keys on those remotes will and you'll have volume control of your tv unlike your original remote. Look for Roku model RC03 remotes.
