If they put some type of backing on the remote that would stop it from sliding off your clothing or whatever you might set it on then I could stop picking it up off the floor which was probably the reason the remote stopped working to begin with.

You could get some of those round silicone dots that have a sticky side on them for a couple bucks online.  Those should help.

You might want to look at some of the Roku remote covers for sale on places like Amazon.  Also grip tape is another generic possibility.
