You can install the Roku app (not TheRokuChannel app) on a cell phone and use it to control your Roku. This app also includes the ability to direct the Roku sound to your phone, where you can listen via the phone's speaker. You can then connect a separate headphone or speaker to the phone either by plugging in directly or by bluetooth.
