Why can I find no help in using this remote? Or how to use my Amazon Fire Stick with my Roku TV?  How do I do the basic, getting to different stations, since there's no number pad on the remote? It's ridiculous to scroll through hundreds of channels, so there must be some way, no? I sure hope the only option isn't using the microphone, since I'm not a big fan of talking into remotes.  So far, I've been juggling two stations, using the last channel button, but even that doesn't always work. If I scroll through channels, and get hundreds away from where I was, there's no way to just stop, and still be on the channel I was on! Meaning I must then scroll all the way back to the original.  How is this supposed to work?

You're asking a couple of different things here, so let's address them separately. But, as you provided scant information, I'm going to make a couple of assumptions. If these assumptions are incorrect, please provide more information so we can answer the correct question.

I'll assume you have a Roku TV that you bought.

I'll also assume that you want to use Amazon Firestick rather than the Roku functionality, yet chose to buy a Roku TV, not a TV with built in Amazon Fire TV.

I'll also assume that you have the setup of two quite popular streaming brands in your setup -- Roku and Fire TV -- yet subscribe to cable. This assumption is based on the statement of hundreds of channels, which isn't that common for an antenna setup. I'll also assume there is no cable box with a 

Are these assumptions correct? If not, would you please clarify?

Now, how to use a Firestick on a Roku TV. You would follow the instructions included with the Firestick for connecting the device. The fact that the TV has built-in Roku doesn't matter. It can be a TV with no smarts, a TV with some manufacturer's smarts, a TV with built-in Android TV, a TV with built-in WebOS, or any TV of any kind. You would follow the instructions included with the Firestick. I'm uncertain what issue you'd run into with doing that. A detailed explanation of the difficulty you're having with that would be in order if my answer isn't sufficient.

As for scrolling through a bunch of channels, I'm assuming you don't have a cable box with your cable subscription. As you didn't provide any information on which manufacturer brand Roku TV -- Roku doens't build Roku TV, just supplies the software for the smarts of the smart TV -- it's difficult to say what options you have regarding shortcuts. Without more information, I'd say that yes, you use the UP and DOWN arrows to find the TV channel you want. Again, more information from you may allow more informaiton to help you.

This. Makes no sense to number channels when the remote has no number pad. You would think we are living in the 90s. I find it hard to believe that the genius's creating the apps have not figured out a way to add a number pad to the app itself.

Not all your assumptions are correct.

1. Yes, I have a Roku TV, but it was a gift, not purchased by me, so the choice of whether it be a Firestick or Ruku TV wasn't mine. However, had it been, I'd have likely picked the Roku, since it would simply add more options than what I have with the Firestick.

2. And I plan on using both, not just one or the other, especially because Amazon doesn't have anything that covers over-the-air digital channels, which leads to assumption #3.

3. I don't subscribe to cable, but have a digital antenna, and yet, I do still get hundreds of channels.

I have a TCL 55 R625 TV, and having to use up and down arrows, to navigate hundreds of channels, is ridiculous. Plus, there seems to be no way of narrowing that down by selecting Favorites, do you know how that can be done?

Yes, that is an annoyance of a Roku TV. There's no way to directly access an OTA channel with the remote. I just tried using the app, but the keyboard doesn't accept a direct channel entry either. I also tried using a voice command, but it either doesn't work or I don't know the proper syntax to do it verbally. 

I get about 50 OTA channels, so I completely understand your frustration. It's one reason I did not go with a Roku TV when I replaced my family room set. Roku used to have the ability to mark a channel as a favorite, but it was removed several years ago, despite many protests against that move. It does have a "favorites" function, but the TV determines what is a favorite by your usage. Worthless in my opinion, but it might do well for some users.

Actually, many in this forum are saying the newest system update has seen the return of being able to select Favorites. I'll have to check to see if mine has it, you may want to check if your system's been updated, and now has that featurre...
