Hisense new remote won’t pair

I have a Hisense Roku TV. Lost the remote when I was moving so bought a new voice one without pairing button from Walmart. Unplugged everything, took out the batteries, plugged the tv back in, waiting til the Language screen came on to put batteries back in. Within 5 seconds (without holding home and back) the tv displays “Roku Enhanced Remote pairing…” so obviously the two devices are communicating somewhat. But this pairing screen never goes away. It just sits there and spins. Any thoughts?

Only Roku branded remotes are Wifi, you can buy aftermarket IR Roku tv remotes on amazon, but there is no pairing needed it will just work. Unless this remote can be used on both Roku tv's and Roku stand-alone Roku's than it would have to have a code or button combination to program the right kind of Roku in. That screen you see comes on after a reset, the Roku is sniffer mode looking for a wifi voice remote, which ALL have pairing buttons in the battery compartment, or on back of the remote in case Voice Pro rechargeable remote since it doesn't have a battery compartment to open.
