Every time I need new batteries remote volume swings from loudest to zero.

WHY does this happen every time i but in new batteries?! Volume control is crazy. One brief touch and it soars to max volume and then when i try to soften it the volume goes to zero. This happens EVERY time i insert new batteries. And yes, i paired the remote, checked for update and restarted. I’ve been thru this so many times I know how to troubleshoot  WHY can’t you fix this?  It’s so frustrating!

Roku 4-K with voice remote purchased around mid-2023.

this issue happens EVERY TIME I insert fresh batteries.  I have paired the device and done troubleshooting countless times over past few years.  It always happens after inserting new batteries - which I did yesterday.
