I already googled, checked fans, and wasted 8 mins on support chat...
I ask because my tv and soundbar don't support atmos. This shouldn't matter if sound format is coming from remote.
Atmos require an HDMI connection. A headphone jack will never be anything more than plain, analog stereo.
To add, Atmos needs multiple speakers, and in particular, height speakers. Some forms of digital processing might give a rough sense of surround and height with headphones, but it wouldn't work if you tried to connect regular speakers to it.
Yes technically headphones recreate simulated atmos. But does the remote even do this? My Xbox puts out atmos and Dts_X to headphones from controller jack. So ultra shouldbtoo
I don't think the Roku does any special processing of the audio. You would probably only get basic 2.0 audio. It doesn't have the processing power of something like an Xbox.
