So it has been two weeks since this was reported and still no solution???? The steps to set up the the remote again do not work. How can the community fix this issue when the problem came from the software update.  This has got to be the worst support i have seen. I have no problem switching all the Roku equipment to amazon if necessary. Fix the dam problem!

Roku remote controls TV volume but, as of two days ago, no indicator of volume change on TV.

Jump to solution

Roku Ultra with Roku Voice Remote with TV controls using ARC to A/V receiver: until a day or two ago when using the Roku Voice Remote to control TV volume (LG OLED Model # 65B7P) , we would see the volume indicator on the TV screen show that we were adjusting the volume. Suddenly the indicator no longer shows when adjusting the volume with the Roku remote but if I use the TV's remote control the indicator shows just as it always has. I've tried restarting Roku Ultra, repairing the remote to the TV, unplugging and replugging in TV, changing batteries on Roku remote but without success. It's worked correctly for years but suddenly does not. We find it's helpful to see indicator on TV and can't seem to get that capability back. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: 5/12 Update on Roku Ultra 4670X killed TV control

I have a Roku Ultra and only the Volume Control on the Remote doesn't control the volume function on my LG UHD 55 INCH 4K TV. The Roku Remote does control the tv power and volume with the ear buds plugged into the remote. Please update the player firmware to remove this bug.
